PICTURES OF THE WEEK: Behind-the-Scenes on the Set of ‘21 Jump Street’ and ‘The Vow’

Each week ChanningTatumUnwrapped.com will post one or more of our favorite pictures of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Today’s Pictures of the Week were taken on or near the sets of Channing Tatum’s upcoming comedy ‘21 Jump Street‘ (which he’s currently filming in New Orleans) and drama ‘The Vow‘ (which he filmed in Toronto and Chicago last year). First up, we have new pics of Chan on the set of ‘21 Jump Street‘…
In addition to Chan, the film also stars Jonah Hill, Ice Cube, DeRay Davis, Brie Larson, and Dave Franco, and it was just announced that ‘The Social Network’s Dakota Johnson (the daughter of Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith) has been added to the cast.
Johnny Depp recently talked to E! news about his cameo for the film that’s based on a popular 1980’s television show…
“It’s done. I went in and did my bit and worked with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. It was fun.”

Next up we have an adorable personal pic of Chan’s beautiful wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Chan’s “big baby” Lulu. The Tatum clan is in full force in the Big Easy…Jenna, Lulu, and their other dog Meeka are all in New Orleans right now visiting Chan while he stars in and executive produces ‘21 Jump Street‘ via their production company 33&Out.
‘21 Jump Street‘ will be filming in New Orleans through the end of June and is scheduled to hit a theater near you March 16, 2012.
Last, but not least, here’s a great behind-the-scenes photo of Chan and co-star Rachel McAdams on the Toronto set of ‘The Vow‘ last fall courtesy of fan site RachelMcAdams.org. The family in the photo are the Carpenters and the film is based on the real-life love story of the Mom and Dad Kim and Krickitt Carpenter…

PICTURE OF THE WEEK: Check Out the Production Office for Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill’s ‘21 Jump Street’

As I mentioned in a previous post, Channing Tatum will be heading to The Big Easy (aka New Orleans, Louisiana) in a few days to prep for his comedy ‘21 Jump Street‘. The movie will begin filming on April 25th, and Chan will both star in and executive produce the film with funny man Jonah Hill (who’s already tweeting from location).
Thanks to Jonah, we also have an insider’s pic of the film’s New Orleans production office with “21 Jump Street” spray painted on the wall. For those who watched the 80’s TV series the film is based on, you’ll notice that the graffiti closely resembles the logo they used back in the day, brick wall and all!
In the casting department, there’s been a ton of news for the film in recent months…
In addition to executive producing, Chan and Jonah will star as undercover cops assigned to work inside schools. Deadline.com reported that Ice Cube was in negotiations to join the Sony Pictures film as their police chief and that Brie Larson was added to the cast in the lead female role of Molly (possibly Jonah’s love interest in the film).
A few days ago, Variety reported that Daily Show funny man Rob Riggle was in talks to join the comedy as the main villain, and yesterday, Deadline.com reported that Dave Franco (James Franco’s brother) has been set to play a villain in ‘21 Jump Street‘.
Deadline says that Franco will play Eric, the most popular kid in school, who also happens to be a huge drug dealer. Jonah Hill’s character will supposedly befriend him to infiltrate the “cool kid crowd”.
The article also mentions that rumors are swirling about a potential Johnny Depp cameo where the gracious actor will pay homage to the TV series that launched his career.
The film will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller from a screenplay by Michael Bacall and is based on a treatment from Hill and Bacall. Neal H. Moritz will produce the film with Stephen J. Cannell, who will receive posthumous credit.

PERSONAL PICS OF THE WEEK: Girls’ Night Out for Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Emmanuelle Chriqui

Last night, Jenna Dewan-Tatum had a fun girls’ night out with best friend Emmanuelle Chriqui at InStyle’s Academy Awards viewing party and Madonna’s Oscar party, where the Queen of Pop reportedly donned a hat and fishnets as she judged an impromptu dance-off during the star-studded soiree.
Before the parties, Jenna tweeted out a couple of cute pics of she and Em (who just joined twitter) getting ready for the night’s festivities. After the parties, Jenna (who looked gorgeous in a crimson dress by Ronald Abdala) tweeted…
“Had a blast at @InStyle last night…that popcorn buffet is the death of me! Yummm! Went to Madonnas Oscar party and it. was. insane. Never seen anything like it! That’s what parties in LA are supposed to be like!”

Each week Channing Tatum Unwrapped will post one or more of our favorite pictures of the uber beautiful Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum. Ever wonder what a Tatum Christmas looks like? Well, here’s an exclusive sneak peek inside that only CTU’ers get to see.
It’s no surprise that Chan and Jenna’s holiday festivities are full of love, awesome gifts, shiny gold tinsel crowns, and yummy food, but I have to say I wasn’t expecting a dog watching TV…
Mama Kay, who was nice enough to send me these pics of Chan, Jenna, and their dogs Lulu and Meeka celebrating at their house for Christmas, tells me that Chan’s dog Lulu is an avid TV watcher. If animals are on the screen, Lulu (a blue-eyed pup Chan rescued from an Alabama shelter a few years ago) will sit right in front of the TV and pay close attention to what’s on, even when there’s no sound!
After spending some quality downtime with Chan, his parents Kay and Glenn, and the rest of the family, Jenna tweeted…
“Had a great Xmas with Mama Kay and Papa T:) My stomach is not ready for healthy food yet”

CTU EXCLUSIVE PIC OF THE WEEK: Chan and Jenna’s Charity Photo Shoot for The Beauty Book

On Thursday, Jenna Dewan-Tatum and hubby Channing Tatum (along with Ryan Phillippe and Rachel Bilson) participated in a charity photo shoot with celebrity photographer Darren Tieste for a project called “The Beauty Book“. During and after the shoot, Jenna tweeted…
“At a photo shoot for a brain cancer charity book…with the hottie-oops I mean hubby…Go to www.thebeautybook.org and check out the brain cancer charity book!”
Brain Cancer is the leading cause in cancer-related death’s in patients younger than 35. 17,000 Americans, 2000 Australians and 280,000 worldwide are diagnosed with brain tumors every year.
“The Beauty Book” is a hard cover coffee table book that will be released later this year with images of your favorite celebrities, musicians, and top models. The goal of the book is to raise awareness and money to help support people fighting the awful disease.
Tieste is executive producing, and became personally involved with the project when he lost a close friend to brain cancer in 2008. All the monies raised, will go directly to Brain Cancer research via the Sydney Neurology Oncology Group (SNOG) and the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) charities. Both of the charitable organizations are non-profit and rely on donations and fundraising. In addition to Chan and Jenna, you will find celebs like Hugh Jackman, Fergie, Anna Paquin, Will.i.am, Emily Blunt, Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Ryan Seacrest, Rosario Dawson, Leighton Meester, Selma Blair, Christina Hendricks, Ashley Greene, Josh Duhamel, Justin Chambers, Chelsea Handler, Eric Dane, Kate Walsh, Kim Kardashian, Michelle Rodriguez, Dominic Monaghan, Minnie Driver, Rachel Hunter, Paris Hilton, Carmen Electra, Denise Richards, Brooklyn Decker, Maggie Grace, Marlon Wayans, Eliza Dushku, and Sophie Monk in the book.
Darren told me they are still solidifying an exact release date, but he hopes the book will launch some time in mid 2011.
