City: Fruitland State: Idaho / USA Age: 23 Social Networking: MYSPACE Favorite Channing Tatum Photo and Why?: I would have to say this picture of Chan is one of the best I have ever come across. He looks like someone you could totally hangout with on the weekends….So genuine and sweet. I love his half smile. Like he has a secret. You can tell he modeled. That boy knows how to smize [aka smile with his eyes]! Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?: Well, I have more then one. One is on ’Step Up‘ when Nora tells Tyler to catch her then runs towards him and she has that look of surprise on face. I had the same look watching it. What girl wouldn’t want a guy to be able to catch her like that… My second favorite is in ‘G.I. Joe‘ when Rex is in the building and Chan goes running to save him because of his promise to Anna. Then, he rides his bike to the funeral with the rain pouring down and the look of utter failure in his eyes. That was so heart wrenching! Lastly, it would have to be in ‘She’s the Man‘ when Olivia walks over to Duke and Viola in the gym and he is trying to impress her and whacks his head on the bar! I laughed so hard I swear I peed a little!  Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?: “I’m fighting, for something that’s real for the first time in my life!” - TYler Gage in ‘Step Up‘ So awesome. I feel that way everyday I look at my daughter, I fight every battle and every heart ache and work everyday for her and its real!   Have you ever met Channing?: Sigh… Unfortunately no. See, I live in this little town no one knows and don’t get to California very often. I don’t know if I could handle meeting him though. I am pretty shy so he would probably only get a squeak outta me lol. I would be on cloud 9 for the rest of my life though! Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?: I have loved Channing since I saw the Mountain Dew commercial. The first words outta my mouth were “Who’s the hottie?”. Then, I saw ‘Coach Carter‘ and freaked when I realized it was him. I have been following him since. He is truly a gifted actor with a gorgeous smile and laid back persona. I am very excited to be able to see his work. Keep making those movies and I will stay a true Channing Tatum fan!

Second, this one I love because he’s bold and it’s a really great look on him, not every guy can rock this look! Third, Channing looks good in black! Favorite Channing Tatum Movie and Why?: From the list of movies I saw with Channing so far (haven’t watched Fighting yet, I’m sure would love that one) I would have to say ‘Stop-Loss‘. Really powerful and eye-opening movie. ‘Stop-Loss‘ with Channing playing the role of Steve Shriver really got to me, especially the scene (here goes one of my favorite scenes) where he “lost it” and digs the hole in the front yard like he’s digging the grave… This scene gave me chills! Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?: A) My favorite funny scene: In ‘She’s the Man‘ where Channing (Duke) and Amanda Bynes (Viola-Sebastian) jumped on the bed when they saw huge tarantula in the room because both got so scared. This scene was hilarious! I was laughing so hard almost fell off the coach! B) My favorite romantic scene: In ‘Step Up‘ when Nora brought Tyler (Channing) to her favorite spot by the water and they danced in the sunlight! Just beautiful and so romantic! C) My favorite dramatic scene: In ‘A Guide to recognizing your saints‘ when Giuseppe stood on the subway track, in spite of warnings from his brother Antonio (Channing) that a train was coming, he did not get back on the platform and was killed…The look on Antonio’s (Channing) face when train was passing by was unbelievable, so full of pain and horror. Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?: “We are soldiers, we stand for something.” Really strong and really gets you thinking… Favorite Upcoming Channing Tatum Movie (or Movie you haven’t seen yet) and Why?: Oh definitely ‘Fighting‘ and ‘Dear John‘! Hands Down!! I have to be honest about ‘Fighting‘ besides loving the storyline I have to say that Channing looks sooo hot in the ‘Fighting‘ Trailer, everything from his buff bod to his hair, I love him with all that hair on his head!! Its also the movie that Q from CTU got to sit in on for a day. All of us CTU readers got an inside view on her day on set so that makes me even more anxious to see this film. ‘Dear John‘ is a film I’m extremely excited to see because its the first “romance” film Channing is going to be in. Its a really different role from what we are uses to seeing him play and besides that I love the book!! Have you ever met Channing?: No, never met Channing. This is very sad and upsetting but I have to realize that there is very small chance to meet him, especially with his super busy life style and line of work and me being one of his millions of fans who wants to meet him. But if I got a chance to meet Channing in person I would be the happiest person in the world! That would be amazing. Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?: How can’t I be? He is beautiful inside and out. Very talented actor with beautiful eyes and gorgeous smile. He makes me smile and cry and smile again while watching his movies, it take a great actor and great person to do that! Although never met him in person, i feel like Channing is wonderful person inside and out…I’m supporting him in his every film. Running like crazy to Block Buster trying to find something new with Channing on the shelves (every worker at BB knows me and tries to help) Looking forward to see more movies with Channing and hopefully meet him in person!

Favorite Channing Tatum Picture and Why?:

I have 2 favorites. I love the 1st photo because Channing looks very classy. He looks like one of those polished, stylish men from the Hugo Boss ads. I love the 2nd photo because he and Jenna both look so happy with each other. The photo shows that Channing is a good boyfriend because you can see in his smile that he’s happy to be around Jenna and would do anything to make her happy.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:

‘She’s the Man‘, because it’s one of my favorite movies, & I loved his character, Duke Orsino. I think Channing did a really great job in that movie because he had great chemistry w/ the other actors and actresses. Plus, he showed that he’s really good at soccer.

Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?:

The scene in ‘She’s the Man‘ when he & Amanda Bynes’s character Viola are in the dorm room, and he’s telling her how he thinks there’s more to a person than just how they look. Channing put a lot of feeling into the scene, so that it seemed really real. It also showed that he is a really great actor.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?:

“Be not afraid of greatness, some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.”- ‘She’s the Man‘. I like this quote because it’s kind of the turning point of the movie when his character (Duke) shows that he accepts Viola to be on his soccer team. It’s also cool how Channing can turn a Shakespeare quote into something amazing!

Favorite Upcoming Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?:

‘Public Enemies’ because it sounds really interesting. Plus, there are a TON of other great actors & actresses in that movie!

Have you ever met Channing?:

No, but I would love to! He’s on my list of ‘must meet’ actors.

Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?:

I think Channing is a really talented actor and dancer. ‘She’s the Man‘ is the 1st movie I’ve seen him in, and I thought he was *fabulous* in it! I also love how he doesn’t act in movies just for the fame. He seems like a really modest and down-to-earth kind of person. I admire how he uses his fame to raise awareness for the less fortunate, like with the Rock4Change project.

Favorite Channing Tatum Picture and Why?:

It is hard to chose just one favorite picture! I like the one with Channing and Jenna, because it is him being himself. He is not in a movie being a character, just himself! I also like the other one because he has gorgeous eyes and a gorgeous smile! I also like how it shows his reflection on the other side. It just adds to the picture and makes it look so cool!

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:

My favorite Channing Tatum movie is ‘Step Up‘, I love this movie for many reasons. One is I love the dancing in it, it has tons of great dance techniques. And Channing being in it makes it all the more better! I think is has great dancers and awesome actors. I especially like how the movie takes two totally different characters with two very different dance styles and puts them together. It makes it all the better!

Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?:

My favorite Channing Tatum scene is in ‘Step Up‘, the final show case. I love that scene, because it is such an amazing dance!! I especially love it because it mixes a bunch of types of dance and combines them in to one really cool dance.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?:

My favorite Channing Tatum quote is in ’Step Up‘ when he is telling Nora “I am fighting for something that is real for the first time in my life!” I just love that quote because it is showing that he really wants something and cares about it. It also kind of says that his character has been through a lot, and when Channing says that, he is so into his character and it makes it mean so much more.

Have you ever met Channing?:

No, I have not ever met Channing. I wish I could say I have, but nope! It is my dream and goal to meet him.

Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?:

I have been a big fan of him since I saw him in ’Step Up‘. He is an awesome dancer! I admire him because some day I want to be as good of a dancer as he is! After I saw Channing in that movie I thought he was awesome. I had never really seen any of his other movies, so I got them, and they were awesome too! I really think Channing is an awesome person, and after hearing some of the things he does, I really admire him. Like his charity stuff. Channing Tatum is my role model, and he seems like such a good person. Seeing some of the things he does kind of makes me speak up more, because it is just nice to know that your favorite famous person does good things. It makes me want to be just like him (an awesome person, actor, dancer).

Favorite Channing Tatum Picture and Why?:

There are many! For me there is a difference between private photos, movie photos, and the modeling photos. I can hardly chose one picture…But I most love the modeling photo where he is relaxing with the hat! I don’t know if sometimes he feels the way he looks on that photo - but I like the thought of him being contemplative beneath the warm sun! Shows quietness and strength at the same time.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:

All of them!!! But ‘Stop-Loss‘ left a special taste in my mouth! It’s amazing and brave to make a movie about young people at war. The film allowed us to see it from their point of view. They are young and strong and fighting for God and country…He played the character so patriotic, lost, and desperate in the end.

Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?:

The cemetery fight scene in ‘Stop-Loss‘ and the silent moment with one tear rolling down his cheek - with Ryan Phillipe. In the scene you can feel that even the strong and convinced soldiers can break. With his way of acting I could feel the issue and the theme of the movie and of course the message. Only their friendship made them go back - not their country.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?:

In the short film ‘The Trap‘ from Rita Wilson….”It’s not about hanging on - it’s about letting go!” Even with this 3 minutes - for me he left an impression in acting!

In ‘Coach Carter‘…the poem about “our greatest fear” explains so great that with huge success comes huge responsibility for yourself and your future!

Favorite Upcoming Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:

Can’t wait to see ‘Battle in Seattle‘ and ‘Fighting‘!!! But my favorite movie for 2009 is ‘Dear John‘ - I adore Nicolas Sparks!!! The strong and romantic characters in his books - now Channing is going to be one of them - that becomes film-history!! I’ll probably cry my eyes out…I know the book!!

Have you ever met Channing?:

NO! And I probably never will!! Oh- maybe at the beach in Hawaii when we accidentally ran into each other by jogging!! :-))

Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?:

So - That’s a long story which Q can tell!!! To make it short: I saw him in “‘Coach Carter‘ and had a wow-experience…”What a face - so much impressions with only a few lines!” One day later I got the ‘Step Up‘ DVD. I recognized him and his dancing blew me away!! Totally different acting style. Then, I got ‘She’s the Man‘. He was hilarious - I laughed tears (especially the scenes with the towel and with the spider)!! In ‘Stop-Loss‘ he was deep and vulnerable - but at the same time so patriotic. Look at his face when he’s acting and you adore him for his beauty, his talent to act in such brave ways - it’s so inspiring ! He’s trying every time something new - he shows every emotion on his face… I love his cute freckles on his shoulders and his back - he has the sexiest jaw in the world!!

Favorite Channing Tatum Picture and Why?:

Huh, here starts the hard part. It’s obvious that I love all of Chan’s photos because he looks great in all of them. That’s the main reason. The second one is that every single picture gives me the image of someone I truly admire and even though it’s always same Channing Tatum - with different haircut, in different clothes etc., every single photo presents him in the different way.

He’s a joker, a tough guy, hottie, the boy next door, a model…you know what I mean. It’s not the movies that let me learn about Chan’s personality, it’s photos of him. But if I had to choose only one I’d choose this. It’s a photo from Greg Goreman’s photoshoot and the reason why I like it is that every time I look at it, it’s telling me some kind of message: “You’re a fighter, don’t give up!” and who wouldn’t listen to Chan, right?

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:

Up until now I ‘ve been saying that my most favorite Chan movie was ‘She’s The Man‘. Now I have to split the first place between She’s The Man and ‘Stop-Loss‘. Here goes my reasons why: ‘She’s The Man‘ was the second movie I saw with Chan (first was Step Up, actually I saw ‘She’s The Man‘ trailer in cinema right before Step Up) and I immediately fell in love with it. That was on August 21, 2006 but I saw the full ‘She’s The Man‘ movie on December 11, 2006. (Write a blog and you won’t forget these things! ) In that time I was dealing with some serious things I’d love to forget about but Chan and whole movie made my days bearable - I was able to watch it even three times a day, oops. Chan somehow gave me the needed strength to hold on and not give up and that’s what I will always be thankful for. The movie also taught me the most important lesson for my life - don’t give up your dream, if you believe it, you can do it! I also took some quotes from it as my personal mottos I live by, for example “If you can’t join’em, beat’em.” and many more. To be 100% honest, ‘She’s The Man‘ has made me the way I am now.

Now to get back to ‘Stop-Loss‘. I just saw it about half an hour ago so my impressions are fresh and my eyes still a bit dry. Yeah, ‘Stop-Loss‘ is the second movie in my life that made me cry (the first one was Star Wars Episode VI). I love war movies because I kind of grew up on them and my father was a soldier once and was sent to boot camp in the USA. I’m also interested in the whole Iraq conflict because (sorry for being political) I just don’t get why thousands of young men from all over the world should die there so this movie is really important for knowing what the soldiers are going through. I felt really desperate and hopeless while watching ‘Stop-Loss‘ because it’s not fair for those kids being there, watching their friends die and then be stop-lossed. Thank you, Kimberley Pierce for making this movie!!!

Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?:

Chan is amazing in every single scene of his movies but here goes my favorite ‘She’s The Man‘ moments…everybody loves how he flips up his cell phone and then “bang!” with the head to that metal pole (whatever that is) or the little dance Chan does after talking with Olivia, also the spider scene is great or “Do you like che-che-cheese?” scene. I was laughing so hard when I saw Chan with the tampon in his nose, or that towel hit on Malcolm (I tried it on my bro and ouchie it really hurts) and I could list all other scenes I love in ‘She’s The Man‘. But my favorite is definitely the one in Cesario’s when Monique comes, Andrew starts hitting on her and while she’s saying her quote Chan starts laughing in the most adorable way he can. It’s simple, unexpected, funny and it makes me laugh sooo much every time I see it. Also how he switches immediately from the laughter to pointing on Sebastian with serious face is amazing. And ‘Stop-Loss‘….I started crying during the scene when Chan is holding the US flag and he’s saying the worst sentence people are supposed to hear. He was so in it and I felt every emotion that comes from his acting being so real and deep. Chan, you’ve really stepped up in your acting!

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?:

I’ve got my favorite quotes said by Chan from almost all of his movies I’ve seen so far so here they goes:

I’m looking forward to ‘Battle in Seattle’ because I really enjoy movies based on the real life story as this one is. And obviously for many poeple who know me here on CTU, I’m excited to see ‘G.I.Joe’! The reason follows in the next answer.

Have you ever met Channing?:

Some months ago I thought I might be positive on this question but here is my story of almost meeting Channing Tatum:

In May/June Chan was here in Czech Republic and at the same time I was in Prague studying for my final exams. Well, it must be absolutely clear to you that I wasn’t studying that much I got the information where the ‘G.I.Joe’ filming set was so I was psyched about the fact that I might have a chance to meet my personal hero. I thought there’s only one set and then another one in Barrandov studios that is not open for the public. I spent two days on the set near the Prague center, took tons of photos, saw stunts for Sienna Miller and others, crashing humvees, I was even considered being a part of the filming crew…well, you got the picture. But there was no Chan unfortunately for me.

Later, when I discovered the second set I found out from the staff that there was another, the third one where (I guess) was Chan and all the others. By that time it was closed and there was no filming anymore. You might think I was insane because I spent almost whole 4 days on my feet looking for Chan in whole Prague, asking strangers for the information etc. but even though I didn’t meet him it was definitely worth it!!! So, I hope maybe next time I’ll be in the right place at the right time.

Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?:

I’m just an ordinary dedicated Chan’s fan…or that’s how I see myself. Thank you Quishe for choosing me for this thing because it means sooo much to me you don’t even know. Since I’m supposed to answer why am I a fabulous Channing Tatum fan, I’ll try to do my best and do it. I consider myself a Chan fan since I first saw ‘She’s The Man‘ in 2006. I had my ups and downs but I was always supporting him, talking about him or his movies with my friends, quoting ‘She’s The Man‘ scenes in my English classes and in the ordinary situations so much that I was even annoying for my classmates. But it was fun for me. But I had a certain feeling that I’m missing something.

One day when I was working on my ex-site about Robert Hoffman I accidentally ran into CTU. It’s been almost half a year now since I first read the whole post on CTU and I’m hooked on it ever since. I’m on it daily, got it in my bookmarks, I read every single post, watch videos and photos, chat on cbox, make my own videos as a small gesture of support etc. CTU is not an ordinary site it’s a huge family and thanks to Quishe who works so hard every single day we’ve got a real, heartwarming connection with Chan and his family and that’s what keeps me even more excited about being Chan fan. I know that he really cares!!! It’s important for me to know that someone who has changed me and made me fight for things I really want is connected with me and all of his fans in such way.

Thank you Chan and Quishe!!! I hope to meet you both one day! I LOVE YOU!!!

Why does Channing Tatum Unwrapped think that this fan belongs in the Fab Fan Spotlight?

I can’t say enough good things about Lainy, and if you read her Fab Fan entry above, then it should be completely clear why she deserves this spotlight. It’s the story of a true fan, and a shining example of the reason why I do these Fab Fan spotlights. In addition to being a great fan, Lainy’s been an incredible asset to the CTU community, and I’m glad she has chosen to hang out her with us. Favorite Channing Tatum Picture and Why?:

Okay I know it’s not exactly a photo but it originally it was. For some reason I usually end up liking Brad’s drawings more than the original pictures …no there is a reason, because they are so awesome lol. This is my favorite picture of Chan, because for one, he has his goatee, and I always think facial hair makes him look even more gorgeous. Secondly, it shows his gorgeous smile and his tongue that always seems to be poking through lol. A large reason why I like this picture though is the glasses. They’re the first thing that my eyes are drawn to, probably because his eyes are underneath them…yes Channing’s eyes always seem to draw mine to his. Then there is his great style which he shows off with the scarf, his great hair, and adorable lines from his smile….am I missing anything? Yep, that’s why I love this picture. ☺

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:

‘SHE’S THE MAN‘! When I got this movie, I watched it over and over and over for a week, eventually watched it with commentaries just to switch it up a bit. My parents were so sick of hearing it they were ready to break the dvd in half lol, but luckily they didn’t. ☺ It’s just a funny movie and has the cute lil romance factor weaved in. And of course Chan does an amazing job in it, plays the part perfectly. His shirt is off 50% of the movie, doesn’t get better than that.

Favorite Channing Tatum Scene and Why?:

This is a toughy because I don’t have a favorite scene. There’s always the trunk scene from ‘Stop-Loss‘…just kidding. I really like the scene from ‘She’s the Man‘ where Chan and Amanda are lying on their beds having a heart to heart conversation, I thought it was very cute.

Favorite Channing Tatum Movie Quote and Why?:

I don’t know if this is my favorite quote or not but all I know is that I say it all the time lol. In ‘She’s the Man‘ after the carnival Sebastian (Amanda) sees that Duke’s nose is bleeding and says, ‘oh my god you’re hurt’ followed by…”I mean, suck it up, be a man and rub some dirt on it.” I think it’s funny, and then the look on Chan’s face when she says, ‘okay, I’ll rub some dirt in it…’ *sigh* love it. lol

Favorite Upcoming Channing Tatum Movie and Why?:

I’m really excited for ‘Dear John‘. I haven’t read the book yet, though I am planning to soon. However, I have read other books by Nicholas Sparks and really liked them. Chan in a romance movie…I can’t wait!!!

Have you ever met Channing?:

Nope, haven’t met Channing. And I don’t remember my dreams but I’m sure he’s still in there lol. I hope someday I will, that would be so awesome I can’t even explain. I would be ecstatic and probably speechless, yes speechless lol

Why are you a Fabulous Channing Tatum Fan?:

It started by just being an addict to his movies, and him too of course. I knew when I watched one it would lead to a Channing Tatum movie marathon lol. I was looking for videos of ‘She’s the Man‘ one day and what ya know, found this place. CTU is amazing, anything and everything out there related to Chan Q finds. I still can’t wrap my head around how she does it. There are not many official sites out there for actors, actresses, singers, you name it that are like CTU. Of course it helps that Chan is not like other celebrities and is completely down to earth and just an amazing guy. CTU led me to meeting truly great people, something that I never thought would happen when I first stumbled upon this place. I’ve even had a chance to meet friends that I met through CTU, who were just as amazing in person ☺. I plan on staying for quite some time, hope that’s okay with you Q. lol
