Much like her hubby, Jenna Dewan-Tatum has been a busy bee this year. She filmed the western ‘The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy‘ and the romantic comedies ‘Slightly Single in L.A.‘ and ‘Balls to the Wall‘.
She also executive produced and premiered the Producer’s Guild nominated political documentary ‘Earth Made of Glass‘ at the Tribeca Film Festival and is currently producing the high school reunion drama ‘Ten Year‘ with husband Channing Tatum via their new (soon to be titled) production company.
Variety just announced that Jenna has joined Bruce Willis, Chan’s ‘Stop-Loss‘ co-star Ryan Phillippe, and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in the heist actioner ‘Setup‘, which began filming in Grand Rapids, Michigan earlier this week.
The movie, which stars Bruce Willis as a mob boss and 50 Cent as part of a crew, is about a group of friends who are catapulted into the middle of a diamond heist that turns deadly.
‘Setup‘ is currently in the process of hiring film extras. Aspiring actors should contact Michigan-based casting firm Real Style, who’s holding an open casting call for the action movie. The roles are reportedly paid positions, and if you are interested in applying please contact Real Style at [email protected].
The movie shot scenes earlier this week at the Gerald R. Ford International Airport and in Coopersville. They will also be shooting a car chase and shootout sequence on the corner of Monroe Center St. and Ottawa Ave. tomorrow. The Monroe Center will be closed between Monroe and Ionia Avenues, and Ottawa will be closed from Pearl to Louis Streets from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Here’s some additional location info from MLive.com…
Todd Tofferi, Grand Rapids’ Special Events Coordinator, said the windows at Madcap Coffee, 98 Monroe Center, will be shot out for the scene…Tofferi said the scene will be a minor car crash…[On] Monday, Monroe Center will be periodically closed to car and pedestrian traffic for roughly five minutes at a time between 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Pearl Street, from Monroe to Ottawa Avenues, and Monroe Center, from Ionia to Divison Avenues, will see full closure for short periods between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Foot chases will be filmed Monday near the Grand Rapids Police Dept., Ottawa Tavern, the Ledyard Building and Tre Cugini. On Dec. 13, the ‘Setup‘ production will periodically shut down Monroe Ave. and Pearl St. near the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel during the day.
The film, which also reportedly stars Randy Couture, Omar J. Dorsey, Jordan Trovillion and Richard Goteri, is helmed by Mike Gunther and is based on a script he co-wrote with Mike Behrman. Principal photography is expected to last for approximately four weeks, with Jenna wrapping up her filming in the next couple of weeks so she can start preparing for ‘Ten Year‘ (stay tuned for more inside scoop on that film very soon).
‘Setup‘ is part of a new $200 million, 10-picture investment deal for Cheetah Vision, is rumored to be budgeted at roughly $20 million, and will be released in theaters sometime in 2011.
CONGRATS to Jenna on landing the new role!!!
