As many of you already know (since I’ve been reporting on the film for a while), Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum are set to produce and star in their first film together since ‘Step Up‘ with their production partner Reid Carolin.
The movie is a high school reunion film called ‘Ten Year‘, and Deadline Hollywood just posted an exclusive early peek at the test shoot that director Jamie Linden let me to see and that I told you guys about last August.
In addition to Chan and Jenna, the short features familiar faces and real-life friends Haylie Duff, Nick Zano, ‘The Hurt Locker‘s Brian Geraghty (Jenna’s ‘Love Lies Bleeding‘ co-star), and Kate Mara.
The story follows Chan and Jenna (who plays his girlfriend in the clip) as he heads to his high school reunion and contemplates proposing to Jenna with a ring he’s hidden in his new car’s glovebox. In August, Jamie told me that the film short/test shoot was…
“…really just for fun and is an exercise in tone and style [for 'Ten Year']…It’s really only tangentially related to the project — the actual movie would be much more of an ensemble, and most of these scenes [in the short] aren’t even in the script.”
Without further ado…today’s Video of the Week is ‘Ten Year‘s film short (aka “The Envelope In The Glovebox”). Enjoy!

Deadline Hollywood is also reporting…
“…Other twentysomething actors who are circling roles in the four other story lines for the feature include Anna Faris, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Chris Pratt and Justin Long. The picture is being put together by Twilight Saga producers Temple Hill, and they are currently shopping the director’s test to get financing for Linden to make his directing debut. Several financiers and distributors are angling, but if the right deal doesn’t materialize, Temple Hill may cash flow the picture as it did for the Dan Rush-directed Everything Must Go, the $5 million Will Ferrell-starrer which got a distribution deal with Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival.”
Chan, Jenna, and Reid will be heavily involved in the development process via their production company 33&Out and are working with producers Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey at Temple Hill on the film. Jamie (who wrote the ‘Dear John‘ screenplay) will be wearing both the writer and director hats for this production.
Needless to say, I’m really looking forward to seeing this film get made!!!
