As I mentioned in a previous post, Channing Tatum (@channingtatum) and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum (@jennaldewan) are participating in the TwitChange charity event that just kicked off TODAY. For those who don’t know, TwitChange is the first global celebrity auction where Twitter users can bid to get followed, retweeted, and/or mentioned by their favorite celebrity on Twitter.
100% of the donations generated by the auction will be donated to aHomeInHaiti.org so they can finish rebuilding the Miriam Center, which houses, educates, and provides love for Haitian children with cerebral palsy, severe autism, and other major life challenges. It’s one of the only facilities of its kind in the earthquake-ravished country.
Each celeb who’s participating in the one-of-a-kind auction will follow the winner for 90 days or longer, in addition to tweeting and retweeting them. To sweeten the pot, both Chan and Jenna are adding prizes to their standard tweet package…
Jenna is also giving the lucky winner an autographed pic and Chan’s highest bidder will score a signed Duke G.I. Joe action figure! I will also feature auction winners here on CTU in a special charity Fab Fan Spotlight.
Chan and Jenna’s TwitChange auction pages will be available on Ebay through September 25, 2010. It’s a great cause, and you get a cool perk in return. More importantly, your winning bid will make a HUGE difference in a Haitian child’s life. I hope you head on over to Ebay and start bidding!
