‘Step Up 3D‘, the highly-anticipated 3rd installment of the successful film franchise started by Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum in 2006, will hit theaters on August 6, 2010!!!
New York’s intense street dancing underground comes alive in eye-popping Digital 3D as the raw, passion-fueled culture goes global. A tight-knit group of street dancers, including Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Adam Sevani) and Alyson Stoner, and find themselves pitted against the worlds best hip hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.
Fans can check out the new crew as they battle to dominate New York’s street dancing scene in the newly released and action-packed trailer in HD on Myspace’s Trailer Park or in the video below…
The movie looks awesome! I so can’t wait to see this in theaters with 3D glasses in hand! This week, the trailer will also start playing in theaters before Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Last Song’ and in 3D before the ‘Clash of the Titans’.

I’d like to thank Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum for sending us the exclusive, personal pic at the top of this post. It’s an adorable photo of Chenna (aka Chan and Jenna) on the red carpet of today’s ‘Dear John‘ UK premiere at the Odeon Kensington theater in London.
Jenna just tweeted to fans…
“So happy for my sweetie,premiere went well(altho being rained on was not in my hair/makeup plan lol),loved london..and now its on to work!”
And shared this sweet pic of her (in an All Saints dress, black tights and studded Rock and Republic heels) and Chan (in a gray suit, pale blue button-down, and gray silk tie, all by Gucci) from the ‘Dear John‘ after party…

NEWS FLASH: Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s ‘Earth Made of Glass’ to Premiere at 2010 Tribeca Film Festival

Models, dancers, actors, and now you can add producers to the long list of abilities Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum have in their every-growing talent arsenal.
The couple has joined forces with friend and fellow producer Reid Carolin to executive produce their first film via their new production company 33&Out.
‘EARTH MADE OF GLASS‘, a moving documentary that follows the Rwandan President Paul Kagame and genocide survivor Jean-Pierre Sagahutu, will be the first movie to carry the 33&Out production company title.
The new documentary follows a president and a citizen—bound together by a profound love of country and an unquenchable desire to see the truth revealed— as they fight to uncover the mystery behind a murder and France’s hidden role in the horrific 1994 Rwandan genocide. This powerful investigative documentary from the director of The War Tapes (best doc, TFF ‘06) is driven by the inspiring and uplifting stories of Kagame and Sagahutu.
On Nov 11th, 2008, President Paul Kagame’s closest aide, Rose Kabuye, is arrested by France on charges of terrorism. Meanwhile, Jean Pierre scours the countryside in search of clues to his father’s murder fifteen years ago. With the fate of both a country and a family hanging in the balance, Jean Pierre and the President fight to uncover and expose the truth, each ultimately coming face-to-face with the same choice: to take revenge or turn the other cheek.

‘EARTH MADE OF GLASS‘ is directed by Deborah Scranton. She also directed ‘The War Tapes’ (short-listed for the Oscar in 2007), which influenced how they made Chan’s 2008 Iraq war drama ‘Stop-Loss‘.
The film has been chosen to compete in the World Documentary Feature Competition of the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and will premiere at the festival on April 26, 2010 (coincidentally, Chan’s birthday). Below you can find all of the screening dates, times, and locations at this year’s festival…

The 2010 Tribeca Film Festival has also announced the line-up for its Tribeca Talks Panel Series. ‘EARTH MADE OF GLASS‘ has been chosen for the “Tribeca Talks: After the Movie” program which will explore issues and trends in society and the entertainment industry. After the Tuesday, Apr 27th screening, join director Deborah Scranton and special guests for a conversation about taking the truth beyond justice and finding reconciliation in Rwanda, Africa, and the world.

DEAR JOHN
Channing Tatum’s romantic drama ‘Dear John‘ just premiered in Portugal (as ‘Juntos ao Luar‘), Spain (as ‘Querido John‘), and Taiwan (as ‘最後一封情書’) THIS PAST WEEK!!!
‘Dear John‘ tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation. It’s based on a Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling book, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December of 2008.
Fans can check out tons of photos from the film in the CTU Photo Gallery and can watch trailers and cast interviews on CTU’s Youtube channel.
‘Dear John‘ will be released in theaters in France and Belgium on March 31st, Israel on April 1st, and Mexico on April 2nd. I also hear that the movie will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the US and Canada on May 25th. CLICK HERE to view future release dates for other countries.
SON OF NO ONE
With a cast that already includes Al Pacino, Ray Liotta, and Katie Holmes, THR is reporting on another casting update for Channing Tatum’s dramatic thriller ‘Son of No One‘…
“Tracy Morgan and Juliette Binoche are in final negotiations to join the ensemble cop drama “Son of No One,” being directed by Dito Montiel. The pic, coming from Nu Image/Millennium Films, is lining up quite a cast, which is led by Channing Tatum, who plays a young cop assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, with an old secret surfacing and threatening to destroy his life and family….Morgan…is stepping into the shoes vacated by Terrence Howard. Morgan will play Vinnie, a friend of Tatum’s. Binoche…plays a reporter. Holly Wiersma, John Thompson and Montiel are producing the pic…”
‘Son of No One‘ begins shooting next week in New York and is currently scheduled to be released in 2011.
BALLS TO THE WALL
Jenna Dewan-Tatum recently tweeted that a new movie project would be announced soon and that announcement came courtesy of THR this week. Get all the details on Jenna’s new indie comedy below…
“Jenna Dewan and Joe Hursley, best known for those Norse-inspired “Got Milk?” commercials, are starring in “Balls to the Wall,” an indie comedy that sees Penelope Spheeris sitting in the feature directing chair for the first time since 2005’s “The Kid & I.” Written by Jason Nutt, the story follows a young man (Hursley) who wants to give his girlfriend (Dewan) the wedding of her dreams, and at the urging of his future father-in-law, secretly takes on a second job moonlighting as an exotic dancer. At the club, called “The Male Room,” he discovers a talent he never expected. Brett Forbes, Patrick Rizzotti and Marie Fyhrie are producing.”
BIG CONGRATS to Jenna on the new movie!!! I know she’s really excited to get started on it. Filming will kickoff in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned to Jenna’s twitter and CTU for the latest news on the movie.
LEGEND OF HELLS GATE
One of Jenna’s recent projects, ‘The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy‘, will have their official site up and running this coming week at www.thelegendofhellsgate.com. Fans will be able to check out new photos, bios for the actors, and more. They’ll also be releasing the first teaser trailer for upcoming the western.
Written and directed by Tanner Beard ‘The Legend of Hell’s Gate‘ is about how “Hell’s Gate” at Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas came to have it’s name and will allow fans to relive the story of how three outlaw’s expeditions and encounters through historical 1870’s Texas ended up being remembered for a lifetime. The movie currently has an anticipated release of summer or fall of 2010.
In the meantime, fans can follow the film on Twitter and Facebook and can check out photos from the Texas set in the CTU Photo Gallery.
STEP UP 3D
The highly-anticipated 3rd installment of the successful film franchise started by Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum in 2006 will hit theaters this summer in 3D!!!
‘Step Up 3D‘ will focus more on hip hop street dancing, as Rick Malambri, Sharni Vinson, Adam Sevani, and Alyson Stoner star as movers battling to dominate New York’s street dancing scene.
In mid-February, the film had an extremely successful test screening with it’s first audience and producer Adam Shankman had this to say about the response…
“Well, tested step up 3D last night, and it scored huge! Audience said they wanted to see it again right then! Could be big. So relieved…Step up 3d screening was a huge success! Fans will love it, and new fans will be amazed.”
Fans can check out ‘Step Up 3D‘ star Rick Malambri in the photo on the right. He tweeted the pic right before leaving his trailer on day 1 of additional shooting for the film earlier this month. During the four days of extra filming, director Jon M. Chu also tweeted out a ton of videos from the set. Fans can get a behind-the-scenes look at the reshoots in a TwitVid and a video Jon just posted on his Youtube channel below…
Myspace just released the film’s official poster and will be premiering the ‘Step Up 3D‘ trailer on the Myspace Trailer Park this Wednesday. This week, the trailer will also start playing in theaters before Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Last Song’ and in 3D before the ‘Clash of the Titans’.

Channing Tatum’s romantic drama ‘Dear John‘ hits UK theaters on April 14th, so he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum headed to London yesterday so Chan can begin the UK leg of the movie’s press tour.
At the airport, the couple (aka Chenna) took a couple of adorable personal pics and shared them with fans on their site PostTheLove.com. Fans can check out Chan and Jenna’s pics and new photos of the couple arriving at LAX on March 24th from JustJared.com on today’s post in the CTU Photo Gallery.
Seriously, just when you think you couldn’t love Chan and Jenna as a couple any more than you already do, they send us the pics above and record this audio for fans…

Last, but not least, I have some GREAT news for Chan’s London-based UK fans. Here’s your chance to see Channing Tatum in the flesh courtesy of CTU!
As I mentioned in a previous post, the film will be hosting a gala screening of ‘Dear John‘ in London on Tuesday, March 30th. The screening, which will be held at the Odeon Kensington, will begin at 5:30 pm, and both Channing and Amanda will be in attendance for a fan Q&A. I now have one set of tickets and an autographed photo to give away to a lucky fan who lives in the area.

In today’s Pictures of the Week we have outtakes from one of Channing Tatum’s press tours, an adorable pic of one of Chan and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s pups, and fan art that let’s us envision what Chan may have looked like as Captain America.
First up we have some 2006 outtakes submitted by Brazilian fan Abel from a photo shoot Chan did for People Magazine during the ‘A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints‘ press tour in New York City. VIDEO OF THE WEEK: Final Version of Channing Tatum’s ‘Morgan & Destiny’s Eleventeeth Date’

Channing Tatum’s HitRECord.org comedic short premiered to a packed house at the 2010 South by Southwest Film Festival last week.
For those who don’t know, HitRECord.org is a site that was started by Chan’s longtime friend Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It’s a place where artists and filmmakers can post their work and then collaborate with a community of users who can contribute to the work by adding their own tweaks.
The new film short is a sequel to ‘Morgan M. Morgansen’s Date with Destiny‘, was written by Hit Recorder Metaphorest, and stars Chan, Lexy Hulme (aka Lula) and Joe as Lionel, Destiny, and Morgan.
‘Morgan and Destiny’s Eleventeeth Date – The Zeppelin Zoo‘ is a collaboration that includes work from over 300 writers, actors, editors, musicians, and artists from the HitRECord.org community. Fans can check out a great bumper one of the community members created for the festival using footage from the film short and the awesome final version of the film below. ENJOY!!!
On a somewhat related note, I recently found out that Chan did a cameo in a film short called ‘Sparks‘. It was the directorial debut for Joseph Gordon-Levitt and premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
