New Official Poster and Trailer for Channing Tatum’s ‘Dear John’

Via Cinematical.com, Screen Gems has released the official poster for Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried’s romantic drama ‘Dear John‘, which will hit theaters on February 5, 2010.
The movie tells the story of John (Channing Tatum), a young soldier home on leave and Savannah Curtis (Amanda Seyfried), the idealistic college student he meets during her spring vacation. ‘Dear John‘ is based on a Nicholas Sparks book by the same name, helmed by Lasse Hallström, written by Jamie Linden, and wrapped filming in the Charleston, South Carolina area in December 2008.

UPDATE (10/14/2009): I’m now learning from Sony that the trailer I found was unofficial, so I needed to pull it down for now. They let me know that the official trailer will be available exclusively on AOL tomorrow and that fans will be able to download it from Sony’s website this Friday. Sorry guys, but just one more day to wait.

The book was awesome and I know the movie is going to be just as good! I never cried so much at the end of a book like I did this one. I’m sure I will feel the same way at the end of this movie, especially after seeing Channing cry at the end of the trailer. Can’t wait til Feb! Thanks for the trailer!

The trailer is so beautiful… I almost cried. Absolutely loved the book and I’m sure I’m going to love the movie too. Even from the trailer you can tell Chan is going to be amazing in it
