OK. You got me. The picture on today’s post is obviously neither Channing Tatum nor his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, but there’s still a treat at the end of this tiny trick. Dressed in their Halloween outfits we have Jenna’s adorable dog Meeka (the fairy) and Chan’s rambunctious little Lulu Bella (the carnival clown) wishing everyone a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

NEWS FLASH: Jenna Dewan-Tatum Joins the Cast of ‘The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy’

A little over a week ago Channing Tatum’s wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, tweeted that she is going to be filming a western soon and told us to stay tuned for more info on the project. Today she came through on that promise and tweeted…
- “The next movie I’m going to do is called The Legend of Hells Gate. It’s a western period film. Very excited to work with grt character actors.”
In CTU fashion, I used that little tidbit of info to learn what I could about the new project and here’s what I found…
The full title of the movie is ‘The Legend of Hell’s Gate: An American Conspiracy‘, is written and directed by Tanner Beard and also stars James Lafferty (”One Tree Hill”), Robert Buckley (”Lipstick Jungle”, “Priviledged”, “One Tree Hill”) and Chan’s ‘Dear John‘ co-star Henry Thomas.
Jenna will play the role of Katherine Prescott in the film and here’s the plot for the historical action adventure…
- “The story of how ‘Hell’s Gate’ at Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas came to have it’s name. Relive the story of how three outlaws expeditions and encounters through historical 1870s Texas were remembered for a lifetime.”
The movie started filming on October 18th in Boerne, Texas, and I also read that the production will be filming in the Texas cities of Granbury and Possum Kingdom Lake in Palo Alto county. The film even has an official Twitter , which is where I found the set photos you see below…
Again, I want to give a big CONGRATS to Jenna on her new role!

Chan also wanted me to let ya’ll know that he’s a bit backlogged on completing autograph requests. His fans are extremely important to him and he actually signs all of the autograph requests himself. No stamps are ever used. He’s been away promoting ‘G.I. Joe’ and filming ‘Eagle of the Ninth‘ since late July and has gotten a little behind on the responses. Chan promises to get caught up when he finishes filming in the next few weeks, so thanks for everyone’s patience.

REMINDER: Channing Tatum’s ‘Fighting’ Releases on DVD in France

Channing Tatum’s 2009 action movie ‘Fighting‘ was released on DVD and Blu-ray in the US and Canada in August and the UK in September.
The movie has now been released in France, so French fans can get your very own copy of ‘Fighting‘ from the Amazon France site in both the DVD and Blu-ray formats.
Writer and director Dito Montiel brings the action in ‘Fighting‘, a gritty story of a small town boy who becomes a street fighting star in New York City’s underground circuit.
‘Fighting‘ stars Channing Tatum, Academy Award nominee Terrence Howard (’Iron Man’, ‘Crash’, ‘Hustle & Flow’), Zulay Henao (’S. Darko’) and Luis Guzman (’War’), and is about Small-town boy Shawn MacArthur (Channing Tatum) knows firsthand that every day in New York City is a struggle to survive.
When scam artist Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard) gives him a chance to be something more in the brutal underground world of bare-knuckle street-fighting, Shawn decides that he has something worth fighting for and puts everything on the line to win. Every knockout brings him closer to the life he’s always wanted, but also traps him in a dangerous web he can’t escape.

NEWS FLASH: Channing Tatum to Star in Dito Montiel’s Newest Movie & Nominated for People’s Choice Award

In case you all missed the tweet on Channing Tatum’s official Twitter, Production Weekly just confirmed that Chan will be starring in yet another Dito Montiel film very soon.
First there was ‘A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints’, then ‘Fighting‘, then ‘Brotherhood of the Rose‘, and now we have ‘Son of No One’. All written and directed by Dito Montiel and all starring Channing Tatum.
I think Chan may have mentioned this film when he was doing press for ‘Fighting‘ in April, but there’s not a lot of details out there for it yet. What we do know is that Chan will be acting along side his ‘Fighting‘ co-star Terrence Howard, James Gandolfini from “The Sopranos” and Robert De Niro from more movies than I could ever list here and who coincidentally also executive produced Chan’s 2009 historical drama ‘Public Enemies‘.
The dramatic thriller is about a young cop who is assigned to a precinct in the working class neighborhood where he grew up, and an old secret threatens to destroy his life and his family.
Production Weekly reported that ‘Son of No One’ is scheduled to start filming this January. I’m not sure where the movie’s going to be filming yet, but knowing Dito’s love of New York City, I’m willing to bet good money that Chan may once again be roaming the streets of NYC come January.
Thanks to CTU reader Belinda, I found out that Chan has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award this year. Please make sure you vote for Chan in the “Favorite Action Star” category and then you should also mosey on over to the “Favorite Movie” category to vote for Chan’s movie ‘G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra’.
The People’s Choice Awards celebrates fan favorites in music, movies and television and is the only major awards show where real people - not industry insiders - determine the nominees and winners. The 2010 show will be broadcast live from Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on January 6, 2010 on the CBS Television Network.
With three movies under his belt and ‘G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra‘ breaking the $300 million mark this week, 2009 has officially been an extremely successful year in the world of Mr. Channing Tatum, so the casting announcement and People’s Choice Award nomination didn’t surprise me one bit. Congrats to Chan and everyone make sure to vote for him early often!!!
