New Photos of Jenna Dewan at Vau de Vire Society’s Performance of The Moskova Affair

August 29, 2009

While husband Channing Tatum films his Roman drama ‘The Eagle of the Ninth‘ half way around the world in Budapest, Hungary, Jenna Dewan has been working hard and attending numerous events much closer to home.

On Thursday, August 27th Jenna tweeted about loving the new clothes (sexy power suits) at a fitting she had that day for her upcoming role on “Melrose Place,” and that night, she attended the Vau de Vire Society’s performance of “The Moskova Affair” in Los Angeles, California.

After which, she tweeted

“Just went to a private party that had circus performers, contortionists, aerialists and dancers..very entertaining!”

Jen also did an interview with People Magazine at the event. You can read People’s article below to learn about Jen’s new passion and where she and Chan may live one day. You can also check out a few more photos of Jenna at the performance. Enjoy!

Newlywed Jenna Dewan Reveals Latest Passion – Cooking

By Eunice Oh
She’s getting ready for an upcoming film and a stint on Melrose Place, but Jenna Dewan is also keeping active off the set – in the kitchen.
“I’m really into cooking lately,” the actress, 28, who tied the knot with Channing Tatum in July, tells PEOPLE. “I’ve been really passionate about it, so I’ve been learning some new dishes and getting into it.”
What inspired the newlywed to learn how to whip up a few dishes? “We got a whole bunch of cooking accessories from the wedding,” Dewan said Thursday at a performance in Los Angeles of The Moskova Affair by the Vau de Vire Society dance troupe.
Though it’s only been a month since the two got married, Dewan – who marked the special day with Tatum, 29, by getting matching tattoos during their honeymoon – says she’s been enjoying every minute of her new life.
“It’s great. It’s amazing,” she says. “I’m so unbelievably happy. I get happier every day, if that’s possible.”
Up next for the couple may be a move away from Hollywood and into a more simple lifestyle in Tatum’s hometown of Wetumpka, Ala., where he has said he’d like to build a home.
“Not yet,” says Dewan, “but it’s definitely in the future. We love it there.”

Here’s some more new photos of Jen at the event with actresses Lindsay Price and Molly Simms…

E!’s Marc Malkin also interviewed Jen at the event and she talks about a musical that she and Chan are working on together and about her impending name change…

“We’re sort of writing a screenplay right now for a musical… There’s not a whole lot I can tell you yet, but it’s a very fantasy-based musical…It would be very very different form Step Up, but it would definitely involve dancing and romance…At the moment, I’m hyphening it [her name]. For the next film that I do, it will probably be Jenna Dewan-Tatum.”

And in case you missed it, MTV’s Splashpage recently interviewed Holly Brix, the screenwriter for Jenna’s upcoming action film ‘Magdalena‘. You can CLICK HERE to get an update on the project.

On a side note, I’m currently changing the photo gallery, so you may see photos missing on some articles on the sites until I get everything switched over over the next few days/weeks.

Jenna Dewan’s Fan Q&A on Twitter and New Photos at Nylon Magazine’s TV Issue Launch Party

August 26, 2009

Channing Tatum’s wife, Jenna Dewan, attended Nylon Magazine’s TV issue launch party at the Skybar on August 24, 2009 in West Hollywood, California and also took to her Twitter two nights in a row to answer a ton of fan questions.

Below, you can check out the new photos and learn more about Jenna in her own words via the her tweets.

At the Nylon party, Jenna once again joined the young and hip in Hollywood at an event that also included celebs like Benji Madden (Good Charlotte), Christian Serratos (”Project Runway”), Diablo Cody (’Juno’), Eliza Dushku (”Dollhouse”), Emma Roberts, Kristin Cavallari (”The Hills”), AnnaLynne McCord, Shenae Grimes, and Tristan Wilds from “90210″, Colin Egglesfield, Katie Cassidy, and Michael Rady from Jen’s new show “Melrose Place”, and even Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer from “True Blood”, one of her favorite shows.

Much like the US Weekly readers who recently voted Jenna best-dressed, Fab Sugar, the ultra-hip style arm of celebrity news site PopSugar.com, loved the outfit she wore to the Nylon party so much they featured her in their Celeb Style article yesterday. Here’s what they had to say…

Newlywed Jenna Dewan left her hot hubby behind for the night and partied away for Nylon’s TV issue launch. While other guests did sexy, Jenna opted for sweet in a moody floral dress. But it’s her maroon over-the-knee boots that really steal the spotlight. They add sass and make her look more night-appropriate. Yep, it’s officially time to dust off those over-the-knee boots.

If you like the look, click on the image above to learn how to get it! You can also check out all of the new photos of Jenna at the event by clicking of the play button to view the slideshow below…

Finally, Jenna has been on her Twitter answering a TON of questions for fans all around the world. I learned so much that I didn’t know about Jen and in case you missed it, thought you all may want to learn more too. Enjoy!!!

Not many celebs would never take the time to answers fan’s questions like that, live and without a publicist to screen their answers, and I personally want to thank her for all of the fans. These kind of gestures are the exact reason why I love working with Chan and Jenna!!!

NEWS FLASH: Channing Tatum’s ‘Eagle of the Ninth’ Starts Filming in Hungary

August 25, 2009

As I previously mentioned, Channing Tatum left for Hungary on August 9th to prepare for his upcoming film, ‘The Eagle of the Ninth‘, after wrapping up the ‘G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra’ press tour. I even had a surprised Hungarian fan send me an email to let me know she may have spotted Chan running (his favorite exercise routine) on a bridge in Budapest. I don’t know if it was actually him on that bridge or not, but I can confirm that filming began yesterday for the Roman epic that has been called a “‘Braveheart’ for a new generation”.

There’s a lot of fire power behind this movie…The film is directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald and produced by Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Duncan Kenworthy (’Four Weddings and a Funeral). In addition to Chan, ‘The Eagle of the Ninth‘ will also star Jamie Bell (’Defiance’, ‘Jumper’), two-time Golden Globe Award winner Donald Sutherland, and Mark Strong (the upcoming ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and ‘Robin Hood’).

The screenplay was adapted by screenwriter Jeremy Brock (who previously worked with MacDonald on the award-winning ‘The Last King Of Scotland’). Anthony Dod Mantle, who won the Academy Award earlier this year for his cinematography of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, is director of photography, and 2009 Academy Award winner Michael O’Connor and Academy Award nominee Michael Carlin (both of ‘The Duchess’) are the film’s costume and production designers, respectively.

The Eagle of the Ninth‘ is based on the best-selling, classic 1954 teen novel by Rosemary Sutcliff, and is set in the dangerous world of second-century Britain.

In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (played by Channing) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth.

Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian’s Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia - to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth. Donald Sutherland portrays Marcus’ uncle Aquila, who has retired in Britain; Mark Strong is cast as Guern, an ex-soldier who holds crucial information about the Ninth.

The film sold exceptionally well at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival by acquiring distributors in every major territory around the world, and the production will be shooting entirely on location in Hungary and Scotland for approximately 3 months.

The Eagle of the Ninth‘ is scheduled to hit theaters some time in 2010!!!

BLAST FROM THE PAST: Exclusive Childhood Photos of Channing from His “Karate Kid” Days

August 24, 2009

In many of Chan’s interviews for ‘G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra‘ he mentioned that, even more than Duke, he really wanted to play the role of martial arts expert Snakes Eyes. That particular dream started way back in elementary school when he was a talented karate student in Mississippi running around his backyard with his mom’s stockings on his head (to mimmick Snakes Eyes).

Chan’s favorite karate coach, Kenneth Hendrix, recently contacted me and was nice enough to share some great photos of Chan as a 5th grader, with his karate class as a green belt, and at Chan’s red belt test. Here’s what Kenneth had to say about the little boy that used his natural talents to make a huge impression on him (WAY before he ever impressed any of us)…

“I know you must be a very busy trying to keep up with Chan’s popularity and demand. My two little boys think he’s the man. Enclosed please find 3 photo’s of Chan for your enjoyment. One is Chan at 10 years old in 5th grade, the next is me and Chan after his red belt test and the next one is a class picture with Chan (green belt) standing next to the Grandmaster of the system from Kuala Lumpar Malasysia– Chee Kim Thong. 4 people from this picture along with myself later became AAU National Kung Fu Champions 1993-95 representing the US National team. Only 25 people were selected to this team. Chan was so good I have no doubt that he would have been there also. He was a nightmare to his competitors. It was amazing to see him in action. He looks the same to me just older. I have some more pictures I will send you along with some videos from back then. It is taking some time due to fact fact Hurricane Katrina destroyed most of my archives but some have survived.
In my minds eye I still see him as this 10 year old kid standing with his legs crossed chewing on a fingernail as he absorbed the lessons in class. He has surely turned into a fine, good-looking young man and I wish him the best along to his new Bride. Thanks for allowing me to send these to you to share for an early look at the sensation that has swept the nation now known as “Channing Tatum”. You’re doing a great job with the monumental task of keeping the public informed on Chan the Man. Send his parents my best…”
Sincerely,
Kenneth Hendrix

I can’t thank Kenneth enough for the awesome photos and personal insights into Chan, and I look forward to being able to share even more with you all in the future. You can check out a few more personal pics that Ken sent me below. Enjoy!
